Tegalalang Rice Terrace in Ubud

Tegalalang Rice Terrace is one of most visited place in Bali. Located at Ubud about 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from Kuta and Ngurah Rai Airport, Tegalalang Rice Terrace promise the nature lover of an outstanding view of paddy terrace landscape. Its using the traditional cooperative irrigation system which believed developed by a man Rsi Markandeya in 8th Century.

Most tourist coming here for photography and enjoying the scenic outlook of the paddy terrace. Temperature here is mostly cold and windy makes tourist tends to come and enjoying the beauty of man made nature.

The beauty of this terrace landscape attracted photographers to shoot their landscape photos and wedding photography as well.

Those who like to hike on top of the paddy terrace are welcome with no fees except for sincere donation to the


guard. There are also some farmers and sourvenier sellers around which selling nearby, but depended on the bargaining skills of the tourist either to buy at high or low price or to reject it nicely.

Apart from enjoying the beauty of the nature here and hike to the top of the terrace, there is nothing much to do in this Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Anyway, its worth to come and enjoy the outstanding view of paddy terrace once arrived Bali.
